Adapting to Change.
With changing local laws and land reforms, MEEZAN shifted from plantations to trading and exporting local commodities like coffee, Ceylon spices and Ceylon tea. By the 1970s, as tea demand soared in the Middle East, we positioned ourselves among the top three exporters to Saudi Arabia. Now, four generations later, we remain one of the top exporters serving our clients with the same passion and dedication that has defined us for over 80 years.

Today, MEEZAN is a leading exporter of tea and herbs, with our fourth generation continuing the family legacy of crafting exceptional teas. Guided by the core values of our founders - passion, integrity and a deep sense of responsibility to our clients, community, and country - we focus on building lasting relationships that matter. As the third oldest tea exporter in Sri Lanka, we are the preferred co-packer for over 70 exporters, with the capacity to produce 1.5 billion tea bags. At MEEZAN we have the capacity to produce 1.5 billion tea bags and 8 million kilograms of packet and bulk tea annually. Utilising an entire range of modern packing machines from Germany, England, Italy, Argentina and Switzerland, our passion for perfection is reflected in our products - making us one of the most preferred co-packers for some of the top tea exporters.
